Habits: Staring at nothing when she's thinking. Lowering her looong lashes when she's flirting. Crossing her feet at the ankles every time she sits down.

Hobbies: She actually enjoys sewing, especially making her own dresses. She writes in her journal daily. She is always trying new hairdos. She also loves to walk, anywhere any time, for hours on end. Sometimes she's known to wander off just for the heck of it.

Personality: Andra often comes across as a flirty, frivolous airhead, but she's actually quite smart, determined and very driven. She has her favorite little circle of friends, and breaking into it isn't easy, but once someone has Andra's loyalty, they have it forever, fire, fog or fall.

Although men are hardly a new discovery for her, the men at the Weyr are like a revelation. Being Holdbred, their forwardness has been an eye-opener. She's had to exert some self control so she doesn't end up like a kid in a candy shop with a wallet full of money! With men also, she has her favorites that she likes to flirt with and when the mood takes her, favor with a night together.

Background: Andra was the firstborn daughter of of a weaver and a smith who thought they'd better get married because she was on the way. None of their parent's approved, so they have little to do with Andra or her siblings. Andra was born early, suddenly and very quickly on the floor of her mother's work room. Her father got to the room several seconds later. He was instantly besotted with her, but it took her mother a bit longer to fall in love with the infant. As if she'd started the way she intended to go on, Andra lied things done right here, right now, from the very start. She had a high pitched wail which would not let her be ignored. Although bald for the first turn, Andra soon sprouted a thick head of strawberry blonde hair, which started off blonde and turned strawberry. Her eyes turned a lovely shade of blue at six month and has given people cause to comment ever since.

Apart from being the centre of her parents universe for the first five turns of her life, Andra had a fairly normal upbringing. She swam in the ocean, got under the feet of the fishermen, stole sweet pastries along with all the other kids and attended harper classes. She learned young how to get what she wanted out of other people as well as her parents at a fairly young age, although she also learned that she was open to manipulation as well. The first instance she could recall was involving a boy when she was just 12. He was 15 and managed to convince her that he cared about her and would love her forever if she slept with him. She did and then he totally ignored her after that. She got back at him by cutting a hole in his fishing net, causing him to be belted by his father. Andra felt not the least bit of sympathy.

Andra was found on Search by a particularly handsome bronzerider, who, Andra thought, probably wasn't acting on his dragon's advice but something else entirely. She didn't care. What the rider wanted from Andra, he did get, before she got bored. Now she's stuck in the endless routine of chores, classes, flirting, eating, sleeping, chores..
