Personality: Myrin is
outgoing though can seem a bit standoffish. She is very intelligent, enough
so, that she can be quite manipulative. She has no use for stupid people,
flighty females and is not known for treating drudges well. She is a true
Bitran, has a mean temper, loves to gamble, and takes risks that are not
always wise.
Background: Myrin was the
favorite of her father and therefore, spoilt by him as a child. She learned
gambling at her father's knee from an early age, though her mother did not
approve. She even won a firelizard egg in her first game of dragon poker,
with her father proudly standing by. She was gifted with a small, dark
bronze she named Marker. She was devastated when her father was killed by a
disgruntled man who lost during a racing bet. Her strained relationship with
her mother (and sister) became almost intolerable and she endured turns of
abuse and neglect. She became withdrawn and developed a mean streak.
At 16 turns, she was found
on search by a Telgar blue. Her family was more than happy to see her go.
She stood the sands and impressed gold Julinath. Her weyrlinghood was
uneventful, except for the fact that Myrin was teased and taunted a lot of
the time. She made herself learn everything she could, as she felt she was
above and better than those that tormented her. Once she became a full
rider, she began to subtly put people in their places and developed a
reputation as a queenrider you did not mess with. There were very few
weyrfolk that were not intimidated by her and those that were, tended to
keep their distance.
When the earth shakes
happened, Myrin fled from the Weyr with her gold. She took her queen to a
safe place without informing her leaders or anyone else. When the earth
shakes finally stopped and she felt as if she could return, she found Telgar
Weyr in ruins. Many of the riders that survived were moving to the
unaffected Weyrs. Myrin followed the majority of them south to Free Falling
Weyr. She knew Julinath would need the bronzes around when she rose. It
irked her that she had to play second to her queen, but Julinath had a way
of softening Myrin that no one else came close to.

becomes aggressive and when she clutches she is broody and can become
violent. She's highly protective of her eggs until they hatch. Once
impressed, she forgets her offspring and, again, becomes friendly and
flirtatious.
