Personality: He is a calm person, so big groups and
parties are not for him. On the other hand he needs
someone near, because he can’t stand loneliness and
might become melancholoic if left alone for a long time. Very
precise and patient in his work.
Habits:
He hates any little
objects laying all over the place he lives so he puts
them inside the clothing presses, not always remembering
where he had put them. That made him some troubles in
Weyrlings’ barracks...
Hobbies: observing nature so that he can make more
realistic ornaments, especially going out with his
weyrmate. Last time he strives to make a sculpture of
his dragon, but with no success yet.
Background:
Polisen was born and
brought up in the Woodcrafters’ Hall. His mother really
loved him and cared for him as much as she could with
her work and low position, but she really had troubles
when the boy started asking questions.
Polisen was a very curious child so having no answers
from his mother he kept asking others. Quite many
ignored him, but he could usually find someone patient
enough to talk to him. As he was surrounded by
Woodcrafters he had quite narrow discipline of
knowledge. Some time later he started carving in wood
and that really taught him patience. In
the meantime he stepped into the teenaged period of his
life and became troubled by the new emotions. Not that
the relationship between boys were something unusual for
him, on contrary, he had seen some, but the first love
is always something new, especially unrequited one.
At the age of 18 he was officially accepted as
apprentice in the Woodcraft. He learned all the aspects
of working with wood, but what interested him the most
was the artistic aspect. He very often ended up making
ornaments or other decorations for some pieces of
furniture.
It
was in that way that he first met Borend. The
cooperation of two apprentices gave good effects so they
were given more work to do together.
Polisen felt as if his workmate was hiding something
from him. Finally one morning they were both outside the
Hall a discussion from word to word came to the point
when they both expressed their feelings. Several months
later they became a couple. When
Free Falling Weyr was founded they both volunteered to
go there knowing the societies of Weyrs were much more
liberal than those of Holds or even Hals. It
was about 2 turns after their removal to Free Falling
when Polisen was proposed to become a Candidate. At
first he told nothing to his weyrmate, but then decided
to be honest. The possibility of becoming dragonrider
seemed really tempting, on the other hand it might put
an end on their relationship. As
Borend supported him, he decided to try and Impressed
green Orrinth at the first try. Being
occupied by his Weyrlings classes he had to suspend his
Craft education. But the most difficult for him was the
prohibition of relationships. Even though he really
loved his dragon, P’lien missed his weyrmate, knowing on
the other hand he would not resist if they met in
private.
When
finally the day of graduation came he could rejoin his
weyrmate.

Personality: She is a very cheerful and quite sociable
dragon. At first she was a bit jalous about the man her
rider so constantly thought of but as she realized the
other man makes him happy she accepted him. She loves to
show off in the air.
