Anything you feel would help describe your persona better: R’meel’s nose is aquiline and his skin weather cracked. He has several thick thread scores on both of his forearms and a thin scar that curves down the right side of his mouth.
 
Habits:  Everywhere he goes he carries a serious look on his face like maybe he is angry, but when one gets him to smiling, his is one of the brightest ever seen.
 
Hobbies: Spending time with his son, making riding straps, mending tares, cleaning his tack, bathing and oiling Boomai and Naekieith. Though these would normally be considered chores R’meel looks to them as if they were hobbies.
 
Personality: R’meel has a gruff outer exterior but a kind heart within. He’s laid back and level headed in stressful situations especially during Threadfall.  He gets along well with others, for the most part, but hates arrogance, and isn’t slow to express how he feels when someone steps out of line.  He is gentle with the ladies, and isn’t one for much foolishness when it comes to relationships; he is simply too old for such games. Over all, R’meel is a hard worker and knows how to relax when given the opportunity.  He is also a loving father to his son Raiel and a kind friend to his blue flitter Boomai.  
 
Background: R’meel grew up in the cold climes of High Reaches and was the last child born of four. His mother, Ameela, was a simple holder’s daughter, who wasn’t the most ravishing of beauties, but was mostly know for her kindness of heart. His father, a bronze rider, was a strong minded man who knew what he wanted and how to get it. R’meel and his siblings all grew up at High Reaches Weyr and for a time all was well until the day their mother died. That day was the most devastating in all of R’meel’s seven Turns and he didn’t think he would ever survive the experience. To cope, he would often times explore down in the inner caves, and would remain there for candlemarks just crying. His father, who didn’t like to see any weakness in his sons, would physically strike R’meel if he ever saw him on the verge of tears and the boy quickly grew to learn that tears had no place in a man’s life.

When R’meel impressed brown at eighteen Turns he was one of the best students in his class, and was looked up to by his clutchmates as the one to go to when advice was needed. As the Turns passed he had his own children and was very hard on them. He eventually learned from his weyrmate Saiella that to be too strict with the children was to breed resentment in their hearts. R’meel indeed loved his children, but he didn’t know how to physically show it, so he took his mate’s advice and was not as strict as his own father had been.

When disaster truck Pern, R’meel had been away on a sweep ride when the earthquakes came, and returned to find High Reaches in ruins. At sight of all the chaos R’meel felt as if his own heart would burst within him, but he shed not one tear. With Saiella gone and their oldest son Samel, R’meel had only his son Raiel left.  Miraculously the young boy had been found amongst the rubble and very much alive but the same could not be said for his mother and older sibling. In wake of the deviation, the remaining Wings and folk of High Reaches were scatted, and R’meel was sent along with his son to Southern Weyr , but North was where their hearts truly lay. After sometime had gone by R’meel put in a transfer request and was granted a position in the wings of Free Falling Weyr.

Color: Light brown with minor thread scoring on his right haunch and a small scared over patch on his left wing sail.

Personality: A quiet fellow who likes to sun alone on the rim. He’s grown out of youthful frivolities and so he doesn’t play much, but does enjoy the company of children and the occasional fire-lizard or two. He is a strong fighter and though scored twice over, he has become well skilled at going between in time to miss tumbling clumps of Thread.
