Personality: Renee is a very down-to-earth individual. She is an extremely competent healer. While she likes to get to know everyone, she has only a few close friends. She has a very level head on her shoulders. She loves to laugh and have a good time. It is nearly impossible to make her angry, but when you do, get out of the way. Her patients come first and herself second. She is very ambitious in her craft.

She was heart-broken after the loss of her husband and has yet to find a man that could even come close to compare to his memory.

Background: Renee is the oldest child of two born to her healer mother. She adored her mother and everything that she did so much that she tried to help out at the hall when she was very small. She was accepted as an apprentice younger than normal since she was already ahead of the second term apprentices. After apprenticing at eleven, she walked the tables to become a journeywoman at fifteen. Having grown up in Fort Hold, surrounded by both the healer and harper halls she learned a lot about music too. She can recognize almost every drum message and melodize better than most. In her capacity as healer she has been shifted all over the northern continent. She returned to Fort Hold's Healer Hall and took many classes, working toward her mastery, but was transferred to Paradise River Weyr before she was able to complete the work.

One day there was a problem with the Weyrwoman Second at another Weyr and they couldn't find their healer so a dragon came for her at Paradise. By the time she got there the goldrider was beginning to recuperate. A bronzerider, H'gan, was asked to give her a ride home. Both were attracted to each other and took their time getting her back. On the way they stopped for a while and were attacked by felines. While she escaped unscathed, H'gan and his bronze, Lightith, were wounded. She bandaged them with what supplies that she had and he got her back to Paradise River Weyr. Shortly, Paradise closed and almost everyone was transferred to a new weyr in the north called Free Falling Weyr. She did well there and impressed many with her initiative and knowledge, all the while she missed H'gan and he, her. During a masquerade ball held at Free Falling Weyr he asked her to be his weyrmate. When she went to request the transfer to his Weyr she was surprised with the information that she was being promoted to Master. She received her promotion and transferred all on the same day. She loved living and working at High Reaches Weyr, but eventually a rift grew between she and her mate. When another Healer transferred to the Weyr and when Goldrider Karylee transferred, she went too.

On the day that she arrived at Telgar Weyr there was a gather at the near-by Hold. While there she met a charming actor by the name of Quinan. The man flattered her mercilessly and she fell for him, and he her. He asked her the next morning to be his weyrmate, but she was still hurt from her last mating and wary because of his youth. After all, he was eleven turns her junior. They eventually became mated though.

One day she met another man, Aleyan, a striking Journeyman Healer that worked with the deaf and blind. He took her to visit the deaf and blind community nearby and she found herself attracted to him. A short time later he went to speak with Quinan and the actor began to insult those who could not see or hear. Renee walked in and heard this and was appalled. Her mate choked her and attacked her dear friend Aleyan. In the end their injuries were minor, but her opinion of Quinan was shattered. She found out that day how Aleyan felt about her too, he loved her, and she realized that she loved him. That next day he went off to Fort and had an experimental operation that would make his eyes work again. The moment she heard that she rushed up there, but arrived after the surgery. Fearing the worst she approached him, but now he could see, with glasses. Tears of joy that he was alright flooded from her eyes. He proposed there and then and she accepted.

A turn later, while on a stop in Bitra where she was doing some work as a healer, she returned to the place where they were staying only to find his body laying there. She rose a fuss about it, but the only investigation was haphazard at best. She laid her beloved Aleyan to rest, leaving her heart there with him. From there she traveled onward, being a master that traveled to help the Holds and Weyrs that needed her. After the shakes she treated all that she could and eventually ended up back at the re-opened Paradise River Weyr. Now that they are fully staffed with Healers though, she's transferring to Free Falling Weyr to help the two Journeymen that are there.
