RULES
FOR RP'ING Please keep an eye out for rules concerning writing requirements, we are adding them to all ranking personas. 1. No
one is to use any character from Anne McCaffery's books, nor be related to any
of them. 2. No
one is to RP from, about, be from, or be related to anyone from Benden Hold,
Benden Weyr, or Ruatha Hold, Or "The Harper Hall" 3. At
Free Falling Weyr there are only five colors of Dragons, no mixing colors to
make your own, although you may have different shades of these, e.g. Light gold,
copper bronze, chocolate brown, misty blue, sea green: Gold:

one is to play another persona's character without the owners permission first,
if for some reason you need to leave for a while, you need to notify the BoD of
this first, If for some reason something comes up (And things do), we will
understand you need time away, what we won't understand is if we don't know you
need time away before you leave. If you have a ranking sona, there will be a
time limit that you can be away, so please check with the BoD. 5. When
role playing we would like to see you write above the story you are replying to,
e.g. someone wrote to your character, in your e-mail you reply at the top of the
e-mail so when other people are reading it, it makes a story with out having to
look for your reply, and it will makes more sense to everyone. 6. We
have a five line rule, which means when you write you need to make the story at
least five lines long, write about the person's mood, what they see, how they
feel about it, what they want. There are many ways to express these in your
reply. 7. For
the first three times there will be a written warning, after that there will be
either a suspension of two weeks for all that members sonas, if that member has
a rank sona and get three warnings, that sona will be demoted along with the
suspension. 8. A
goldrider is an example of the Weyr, anyone rp'ing a goldrider, be it weyrling,
Weyrwoman or Jr WW, you must start a thread or help start a thread at least once
a month. And we mean thread, not solo posts. We like solo posts, but the job of
a goldrider is to lead by example and that means encouraging others to rp! Failure
to meet these requirements will result in 2 warnings, then on the third
occasion, your gold will be downgraded to a green. Of course, anyone on LOA is
exempt from this rule, but otherwise it relates to EVERY gold. 9. Due
to the number of active male and female riders, we needed to clear some things
up. When a Gold is having a mating flight, there will be no subs standing in for
the actual winner, in other words, the winning bronze mates with the gold, and
the winning bronzerider mates with the goldrider. The only way that a sub can
stand in the winners place is with prior BoD
approval. 10. In any mating flight there are two winners, the female and the male, be it green or gold. If one writer is the female, that writer can_not be the winning male. We have plenty of members to fill the winning male role. In other words, one member is not allowed to be both female and winning male of the same mating flight. Please don't ask approval for that either, it won't be allowed for any reason. 11. Due to the number of members, we are only allowing one Master per member. We are trying to spread it out so more people have a chance to play a persona of rank. The only way for a person to have a Master is for the BoD to offer that position to you. If you feel you should be considered please email the BoD and tell us why. If you feel you have been over looked, ask, you just might have been. 12. LOA's (Leave Of Absents) are a fact of life. We are understanding to them, as the BoD has also been on them ourselves. You will not be held to the writing requirements while on a LOA, but if you hold a rank position you will only be allowed away for so long. Excessive and prolonged LOA's lead to the deterioration of a Weyr. The reason behind that is because a leader can not do a good job leading if they are not there. If you feel you can't be here for a leaders position, please don't ask to be considered for that position. MIA's (Missing in action) If for any reason you are away from the group without a LOA, the BoD will attempt to get a hold of you. In the event you fail to respond in the given time we will assume you are no longer wanting to play at FFW. At that time your sonas will return to adoptable or be removed at our (BoD) discretion. 13. All Goldriders/Wingleaders/Masters/ Lord and Lady Holders will need to start a new post once a month. And they will need to post once a week, this can be in a post already going, but a new one once a month. 14. WLM/Asst. WLM/ Headwoman/ Jrm /Jrw/ Wingseconds and, All Bronzeriders not holding any other rank will need to post twice a month. 15. Weyrlings will need to post after each new post the WLM or AWLM starts in order to graduate. 16. Coposts are allowed, they are not a requirement, but if you don't see a certain character for a while it may be due to a long copost being written between two or more members. 17. In order to make this fair for the people actively posting and not holding these positions we need to make sure we are upholding our jobs, if not we will need to step down, or be demoted to make room for those that want to play that role.
