Personality: Shiara is a happy girl, not given to getting angry often. She loves to be part of a group, but is not comfortable being the leader, but has been known to do so if no one else does. She is not a follower at all, being very sure of herself and confident in her abilities. She does not get angry easy as said earlier, but if something is bothering her it may be almost anything else that will make her finally lose it and lash out. An average day finds her smiling happily, her usual sunny disposition to the fore. She does not pout or sulk, she is the kind to get angry and then forget all about it. Revenge is not in her vocabulary at all. Well liked by all, she has many friends. 

Background: Shiara was the oldest born of four. Her sister and brother both impressed and her other sister is a journeywoman harper. She had a close relationship with her siblings growing up and it has continued into adulthood. Her parents were weyrmated and very close. They often had family outings together and no pressure was ever put on for them to be riders also. Each was encouraged to be their own person. Growing up in the weyr she had always wanted to be a rider, though not a gold as most girls. Shiara had started out as a dragon healer apprentice when she was searched. She studied hard as a candidate, though having been an apprentice to the dragon healer and a child of riders, she was familiar with all that was taught.
