Build: She is slender in build, she has been described as delicate, but don't let that fool you.

Hair color/style: Blonde, long and wavy. She likes to keep it down without any anything in it, but during fall, she braids it and rolls it into a ball under her helmet.

Complexion: Fair, with some freckles. She has a Thread scar on her right cheek that goes down to her neck she received during the very first Fall, though it still remains as a reminder to be more vigilant, she is not as self conscious as she used to be about it.

Habits: Plays with her hair when nervous, biting the inside of her lip when she is upset.

Personality: Shinea is the rebel of her family. While never really doing anything bad, she gets herself in some tight spots at times. She is bold, adventurous, and out-going. She feels that strangers are just friends she has yet to met. She is often the leader in any group she is in. She is witty, funny, and charismatic, easily making friends wherever she goes. She is often in the center of male attention, something that never fails to amaze her as she really does not see herself as being very beautiful. She is not a flirt though, but treats them all as her best friend. She can have an explosive temper at times, but it is usually reserved for her brother when she feels he is playing big brother too closely.

Background: She was the third child born, the second girl. Her older sister and brother also impressed. She was determined to do the same as she had always followed after them determined to do whatever they did. Being the bold one of the three she often led the other two into trouble with her as they grew up. Her parents were weyrmated and very close. They often had family outings together and no pressure was ever put on for them to be riders also. Each was encouraged to be their own person. More independent than her brother and sister, Shinea was often out and about the weyr and into small scrapes. She secretly depended on her brother to get her out of them and still does to this day. He always helps as he cannot not help her. She would always thank him by first being very angry at him for interfering, and then apologize and thank him sincerely. This is still the relationship they have as adults. She is close to her sisters as well.

Soon after moving to Free falling Weyr, Shinea met and fell totally head over heals for a bronzerider named T'rin. After what seemed like only days the pair was weyrmated. After being weyrmated to bronzerider T'rin for a Turn, and then loosing him to a fever, she had shut out that part of her life. She has lived for Risanth. But with all the trouble happening, and Weyrs being destroyed, she has pulled herself back to reality, realizing that living for her dragon wasn't really living at all. While she still holds a place for T'rin in her heart, she has finally admitted to herself, she doesn't want to be alone for the rest of her life.

Personality: Can be a bit scatterbrained but bold though. Not afraid of anything. Very talkative with Shinea, always giving her advice, not always the best advice though. She is very attentive during Threadfall, and gets excited when the time comes to fight it. She is very quick, and can turn almost on the tip of her wing reversing direction without loosing any momentum.
