She is a hopeless romantic with a tendency for shyness but can be rather flirty when drunk. When conflict arises she is slow to raise her voice and is usually the first to turn the other cheek. She isn’t loath to admit when she’s wrong, but she is not afraid to point out another’s mistakes and does not take kindly to being taken advantage of. She is certainly no doormat. Background: Born and raised at Tillek Hold Srice was the fourth child of six. Her parents both instilled in her the importance of a hard day’s work and they taught her as much as they could of their respective crafts. When she was 16 she was searched and whisked away to Ista Weyr where she stood the sands and impressed green her first attempt. After two months living at the Weyr Srice soon became very home sick. On many evenings she would cry her self to sleep much to the dismay of her dear dragonet. Though she got along with most of the others she was soon nicknamed “the cry baby” and was incessantly teased by one particular, immature youth named K’var. Though emotional Srice became a very studious young Weyrling. She learned her drills well and was careful to mind her teachers. Upon graduation her relationship with K’var had dramatically changed and they soon became romantically involved. Srice remained at Ista Weyr for several Turns and soon bore a son to K’var whom they named Karic. They fostered the child to K’var’s parents, who were both at Ista Weyr, making it very easy to visit the boy when convenient. When devastation struck Pern many Weyrs across the lands had been destroyed, and the call for every able bodied man, woman and dragon had been raised to assist in the recovery of survivors. While on such an expedition K’var was killed during a sudden aftershock at High Reaches Weyr, and was crushed by falling rubble. Having seen her lover killed Srice fell into a deep depression and for several months mourned K’var’s loss. She remained at Ista for two Turns and loved her son Karic who was growing more and more like his father. But with the memory of K’var too painful to bare Srice requested a transfer and was granted a position at Free Falling Weyr. Dragon Information Name: Chuthulith (coo-thoo-lith) Age: 7 Color: Dark olive green Personality: Loves to socialize and always seems to have a fire-lizard or two around her when she’s out on the Weyr heights sunning. Her mind voice is a soft soprano, similar to Srice’s, and she loves it when she and her rider get to go off together alone. She enjoys baths and oiling immensely and is very picky when it comes to her meals, preferring the more healthy heard beasts to the sicker scrawny ones.
