Anything you feel would help describe your persona better: His right arm bears the marks of a bad thread scoring he got during his first years as a dragonrider.  Although T’nel still has use of the arm, the scaring remains obvious despite the turns that have gone by.

 

Habits: When bored, he tends to whistle to himself.  Some of the things he says don’t make sense and he is prone to forgetting which people he has told something to. 

 

Hobbies: Making up nicknames for the people he knows based on their actions or behaviors, though he’ll rarely tell them what these are.  Generally his hobbies don't last long as he'll get bored with them after a short amount of time and move onto something else that grabs his attention.

 

Personality: Flighty and easily distracted, T’nel is often forced to rely on his dragon to help keep track of what’s going on when there are other things on his mind.  Despite this, he is not unintelligent and can prove to be very receptive and insightful when the situation calls for it.  T’nel often lets people believe he doesn’t understand a situation, only to come out with a solution at the end.  Relationships are where he falters, however, as he has a hard time understanding other people on a deeper level.  Oftentimes he’ll have something good going on, only to end up fighting with the person over something relatively small.  When this doesn’t happen, he tends to break off the relationship, afraid of getting too involved or getting into something he can’t handle.

 

Background: T’nel was born at Southern Weyr as the result of one of his mother’s many nights spent with a random male dragonrider.  From the beginning he was raised as a weyrbrat and he didn’t see her all that much once he was several years grown. When he was either his mother died in threadfall, effectively taking away his last known family member, though this resulted in little change in his day to day life. Acting up in class had always been something he was known for, but this problem only seemed to worsen as T’nel grew up and saw himself as less and less of individual.

            When he was thirteen he became a candidate, as was his right as a child living at the weyr and born to dragonrider parents, though he wasn’t searched in his own right until he turned fifteen. It wasn’t until three years after becoming a candidate that he impressed Kiyarth, the first thing in his life that looked to him first, and only to him. His life improved substantially after impressing the blue, who seemed to be able to help him with everything that had caused him trouble before. As a weyrling he made friends with another blue weyrling named R’shen and the two grew close very quickly. 

Kiyarth’s time as a dragonet went by swiftly and before T’nel knew it, he and R’shen had graduated and become full riders. They were just talking about taking their relationship to the next level when the other bluerider was killed during threadfall. Devastated, T’nel avoided people as much as he could, choosing instead to remain with Kiyarth, who he knew would never leave him. It was several years before he began to open up again and before that happened he and Kiyarth decided it would be a good idea to transfer to the newly founded Free Falling Weyr.Once there he got into a relationship with a greenrider he met when he first arrived.  Things were going good for a while until T’nel found out she had been sleeping with another brownrider, after swearing he was the only one.

Losing someone this way proved to be far more painful for the bluerider and from then on he never let himself get so close to anyone else in his life. That is not to say he did not have people in his life, there were many he spent his time with throughout the day and a large number of short relationships, but they remained shallow. Friends were kept distant, great for spending time with, but never growing personal.  Kiyarth, angry with himself for not seeing the betrayal ahead of time, became suspicious of most his came in contact with, afraid they would hurt T’nel if he wasn’t too careful.

Personality: Mature and wholly dedicated, Kiyarth’s personality more than makes up for what his lacks. He is very perceptive of his and can usually follow T’nel’s train of thought, despite how random it would seem to everyone else. More protective than most, he is suspicious of any who come in contact with his. He enjoys talking to other dragons when he can, but usually spends his time keeping track of T’nel. When it comes to greenflights, Kiyarth often participates, though he doesn’t mind that he rarely wins them.
