Personality: He has a good sense of humor. He enjoys his life and looks forward to living it. He has good work ethics, and believes the sooner you start the sooner you get done, but if you make certain to do it right the first time you don’t have to repeat the whole thing! He also believes in having a good time when the work is done, be that with a good woman, dice, or drink. He is loyal to those he considers friends, but he won’t go out of his way either if that friend did something to deserve getting in trouble over. But on the other hand if that same friend in getting jumped for something he didn’t start, he will be the first to jump into whatever is going on.

Background: Valron is the third son to Brylon and Valoria, he also has two younger sisters and two younger brothers. He grew up in Southern Boll Hold with his family. His mother spent all her time in the Hold proper often times leaving Valron in charge of his younger siblings. Most days he watched his older brothers and father going to the Minerhold for work, and was always jealous that he wasn’t allowed to go. As his younger siblings grew older and his sister Rialon became of an age to take over, he started following his brother to the hold with his father. He loved working with his brothers, though they were always known to “give the new kid the fun work”, hauling dirt and plain stones out of the hold and to the pit. He never complained, at least not were anyone could hear it. His father was not one to tolerate idleness, nor any kind of laziness in His sons! He knew just how many lashes would remove any traces of laziness in any one of his children. 

When Valron reached the age of thirteen Turns, he was officially Apprenticed to the Minercraft at Southern Boll Hold where he has been working his way to Journeyman. He loves his work and his life. In fact he had it all planned out. He would gain his Mastery in the Minercraft, have a family of his own, one that he could teach his sons the Miner trade to. He even had a certain girl in mind to fill that position. Salina had been raised in the proper tradition, she knows her place and doesn’t try to be someone she’s not. 

After being promoted to Senior Apprentice he had decided to pursue his second desire and insure Salina would be his, but the day the Searchdragon came, his life changed, turned upside down. He was no different from other children, having had his own private dreams of being a dragonrider. Pern’s only defense against their ancient enemy. He just never believed he would be found suitable, chosen. Now he is facing the most terrifying/thrilling dream of his life. Will he be found suitable when it really matters? When the eggs do hatch will he find his true lifemate or will he be found lacking?
